## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

UPON LANDING THE CESSNA 180A (TAIL DRAGGER) ON RUNWAY 19 AT THE BURLIGTON INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT VERMONT ABOUT 1150 ON JULY 7TH 2014, PILOT INDICATED HE SENSED SOMETHING WRONG WITH THE LEFT MAIN LANDING WHEEL. THE AIRSPEED WAS DISSIPATING CAUSING THE AIRCRAFT TO YAW TO THE LEFT. PILOT THOUGHT THE AIRCRAFTS LEFT WHEEL TIRE HAD GONE FLAT. IN ORDER TO MAINTAIN DRECTIONAL CONTROL HE APPLIED SIGNIFICANT RIGHT RUDDER AND AILERION. PILOT STATED THE AMOUT OF COUNTERACTING FORCES CAUSED THE LEFT WING TIP TO STRIKE THE RUNWAY, CAUSING THE AIRCRAFT TO NOSE OVER WITH THE PROPELLER STRIKING THE RUNWAY. UPON INSPECTION OF THE LEFT MAIN WHEEL, NO SIGNS OF WEAR ON TIRE AND THE WHEEL BEARINGS HAD NOT SIEZED. THIS SUGGESTS THAT THERE MAY HAVE BEEN A PILOT INDUCED LANDING ERROR

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
