## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

THE PILOT INDICATED VERBALY THAT HE WAS ON TAKE OFF ROLL WHEN HE EXPERIENCED A GUST OF WIND ON THE REAR END OF THE AIRCRAFT. THIS CAUSED HIM TO STIKE A TREE WITH HIS LEFT WING. THE AIRCRAFT CAME TO REST IN A WOOD PILE ADJACENT TO THE AIR FIELD.

## The NTSB's investigation of this event (1)

From the NTSB's public API. Aircraft are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported serial number, make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

- [NTSB ERA14CA365](https://openairdocs.org/ntsb/ERA14CA365), Jul 27, 2014: Cessna 182B (N2275G), Clayton, GA, substantial damage. Probable cause: The pilot's failure to maintain directional control during takeoff, which resulted in a collision with a tree and then obstacles during the subsequent aborted takeoff.

## Other reports on N2275G (1)

Matched to the same aircraft by N-number and date.

- [Incident 19820922060859I](https://openairdocs.org/incident/19820922060859I), Sep 22, 1982: Cessna 182B (N2275G), Winchester, KY. Engine quit and pilot landed on a highway. It appears that the pilot ran out of fuel.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
