## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

THE PILOT STATED THAT HE HAD DEPARTED RUNWAY 19 AT THE BREMERTON AIRPORT AND THAT @ 500' HE BEGAN TO NOTICE SOME SPLATTER ON THE WIND SCREEN. THE PILOT LOOKED AT THE ENGINE INSTRUMENT AND EVERYTHING APPERED NORMAL AND WHEN HE LOOKED BACK UP HE OBSERVED OIL STREAKING ACROSS THE WINDSCREEN. THE PILOT WAS OFF CENTERLINE LOOKED BACK AND MADE A TURN TO LAND BACK AT THE BREMERTON AIRPORT. THE PILOT LANDED AND WAS ON THE LANDING ROLL OUT WHEN HE NOTICED THE WHITE STRIPS ON THE END OF THE RUNWAY. THE PILOT GOT ON THE BRAKES AND THE AIRCRAFT ENDED UP ON IT'S NOSE.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
