## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

AIRMAN WAS AT 0L7 (JEAN, NV) AIRPORT PRACTICING LANDINGS FOR HIS UPCOMING FLIGHT REVIEW. AIRMAN WAS DISTRACTED BY OTHER TRAFFIC ENTERING THE PATTERN. HE WAS PRACTICING SHORT FIELD LANDINGS. HE STATED THAT HE HAD THE LANDING LIGHT ON, WHICH DOES NOT ALLOW YOU TO SEE THE 3 GREEN GEAR DOWN LIGHTS. HE ALSO STATED THAT BECAUSE HE WAS PRACTICING SHORT FIELD LANDINGS, HE USES LITTLE EXTRA POWER. THEREFORE NOT HEARING THE GEAR UNSAFE HORN UNTIL PULLING THROTTLE TO IDLE IN THE LANDING FLARE.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
