## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

PILOT WAS SPRAYING A BEAN FIELD. AS HE WAS NEARLY EMPTY OF PRODUCT, HE DECIDED TO MAKE A CLEAN UP RUN ON THE NORTH END OF THE FIELD.

AS HE MADE HIS TURN EASTBOUND TO MAKE THE FINAL PASS, HE STRUCK A SMALL POWER LINE WHICH EXTENDED FROM THE MAIN POWER LINES BORDERING THE NORTHERN EDGE OF THE FIELD. THE POWER LINES WRAPPED AROUND THE HELICOPTER MAST AND PULLED THE AIRCRAFT ONTO THE FIELD.

## The NTSB's investigation of this event (1)

From the NTSB's public API. Aircraft are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported serial number, make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

- [NTSB CEN14CA444](https://openairdocs.org/ntsb/CEN14CA444), Aug 18, 2014: Hughes 369HS (N369GN), Saint Peter, MN, substantial damage. Probable cause: The pilot did not see the wires resulting in the subsequent wire collision.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
