## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

PIC WAS ACCOMPLISHING A ?WHEEL LANDING? AND TOUCHED DOWN ON THE MAIN LANDING GEAR WITH THE TAILWHEEL STILL IN THE AIR. AS THE AIRCRAFT APPROACHED TAXI SPEED THE TAILWHEEL BOUNCED TWICE; ON THE SECOND TAILWHEEL BOUNCE THE AIRCRAFT MADE AN IMMEDIATE RIGHT TURN. AT THAT TIME THE PIC APPLIED FULL LEFT RUDDER BUT STATED THE RUDDER SEEMED TO BE SOLID, I.E. IT WOULD NOT TURN THE AIRCRAFT.

THE AIRCRAFT WENT INTO THE DITCH ALONG THE SIDE OF THE RUNWAY AND THE LEFT MAIN LANDING GEAR WAS SHEARED FROM THE AIRCRAFT.

PIC STATED HE FELT MOST OF THE DAMAGE TO THE AIRCRAFT WAS FROM THIS ?SUBSTANTIAL? DITCH AND SIDE LOADING OF THE LEFT GEAR. THE PROPELLER ALSO HIT A BERM WHICH STOPPED THE ENGINE.

PIC STATED THE WEATHER CONDITIONS WERE NOT A FACTOR.
