## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

PILOT WAS ATTEMPTING TO LAND DURING A GUSTY CROSSWIND. THE AIRCRAFT BOUNCED AND BEGAN TO DRIFT TO THE LEFT. THE PILOT ADDED FULL POWER, BUT WAS UNABLE TO STOP THE AIRCRAFT FROM TURNING LEFT.

THE LEFT WINGTIP STRUCK THE GRASSY AREA TO THE LEFT OF THE RUNWAY CAUSING THE AIRCRAFT TO VIOLENTLY TURN LEFT. GROUND SCARS INDICATE THE AIRCRAFT IMPACTED TERRAIN IN A NOSE LOW ATTITUDE. THE AIRCRAFT THEN ROTATED ABOUT ITS VERTICAL AXIS, COMING DOWN ITS BELLY AND SKIDDING APPROXIMATELY 30 YARDS.
