## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

STUDENT PILOT ON SOLO FLIGHT PERFORMING TOUCH AND GO TAKEOFF AND LANDINGS AT GILLESPIE FIELD (SEE). STUDENT PILOT ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^, AFTER LANDING NORMALLY ON 27R BEGAN ROLLOUT AND APPLIED TOO MUCH LEFT RUDDER. ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^ THEN ADDED SIGNIFICANT RIGHT RUDDER TO COMPENSATE. ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^ STATED THAT THE PLANE BEGAN TO ROLL OVER. THEN ADDED LEFT RUDDER AGAIN AND SUBSEQUENTLY WENT OFF THE SOUTH SIDE OF THE RUNWAY, HIT A RUNWAY EDGE LIGHT WITH THE AIRCRAFT LEFT MAIN LANDING GEAR, THEN STEERED BACK ONTO THE RUNWAY SAFELY. HE THEN TAXIED BACK TO HIS FLIGHT SCHOOL.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
