## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

ON SEPTEMBER 13, 2014, ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^ PILOTED AIRCRAFT N5132C, A CESSNA 210 FROM MILLVILLE, N.J. ENROUTE TO GAITHERSBURG AIRPARK, GAITHERSBURG, MARYLAND UNDER VFR CONDITIONS. DURING THE FLIGHT ATC ADVISED ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^ OF THE WEATHER CONDITIONS AT GAI. HE WAS TOLD THAT A FALCON HAD TO ABORT BECAUSE OF POOR CONDITIONS THERE. ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^ THEN REQUESTED AND WAS GRANTED AN IFR CLEARANCE. HE WAS OFFERED FDK AS AN ALTERNATE, BUT INSISTED ON GOING TO GAI. ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^ WAS CLEARED FOR THE RUNWAY 14 GPS APPROACH AND BROKE OUT AT APPROXIMATELY 550 FEET. AFTER BREAKING OUT HE WAS TOO FAR TO THE LEFT OF THE RUNWAY, SO HE CORRECTED BACK TO THE RIGHT IN ORDER TO LINE UP WITH THE RUNWAY. AS HE CONTINUED HIS DESCENT TO A LANDING THE AIRCRAFT TOUCHED DOWN ABOUT MIDWAY DOWN THE RUNWAY. HE SAID THAT HIS GROUND SPEED WAS APPROXIMATELY 78 KTS. THE RUNWAY WAS WET FROM RAIN. HE LANDED AND COULD NOT GET THE AIRPLANE STOPPED. THE AIRPLANE RAN OFF THE END OF THE RUNWAY INTO THE GRASS, STRUCK A MOUND AND FLIPPED OVER.
