## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

PILOT STATED THAT HE SIDE-LOADED THE LANDING GEAR UPON LANDING IN A STRONG GUSTY CROSSWIND. THE PILOT LANDED HARD ON THE DOWNWIND TIRE AS THE WIND PICKED UP THE UPWIND WING. THE PILOT STATED THAT THE AXLE BROKE AND THE DOWNWIND TIRE SEPARATED AT APPROXIMATELY 35MPH DURING THE ROLLOUT. THE PROPELLER AND RIGHT WING IMPACTED THE GROUND. THIS CAUSED DAMAGE TO THE PROPELLER AND SUBSTANTIAL DAMAGE TO THE RIGHT WING. THE PILOT AND HIS PASSENGER WERE NOT INJURED.
