## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

PILOT STATED HE WAS ENROUTE IN N5626C AT 17000 FT WHEN HE NOTICED DROP IN MANIFOLD PRESSURE. HE NOTIFIED ATC THAT HE PLANNED TO DIVERT THE NEAREST AIRPORT. HE REDUCED POWER SETTINGS AND STARTED HIS DESCENT TO (02A). NEXT OIL PRESSURE AND MANIFOLD PRESSURE DROPPED SIGNIFICANTLY AND HE DECLARED AN EMERGENCY. HE THEN FEATHERED THE PROP AND SHUT DOWN THE ENGINE. HE ATTEMPTED AN EMERGENCY LANDING AT 02A BUT ROLLED OFF THE END OF THE RUNWAY. AIRCRAFT CAME TO STOP WITH NO INJURIES TO PILOT

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
