## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

THE AIRCRAFT WAS BEING PREPARED FOR DEPARTURE. THE APU WAS INOP AND THE AIRCRAFT CABIN WAS BEING COOLED BY LOW PRESSURE EXTERNAL AIR. A MECHANIC WAS COMPLETING A WRITE UP IN THE MAINTENANCE LOG AT A LOCATION OUTSIDE THE AIRCRAFT. THE PIC DIRECTED THE F/A TO CLOSE THE MAIN CABIN DOOR. BECAUSE THE LOW PRESSURE AIR WAS STILL CONNECTED TO THE AIRCRAFT THE CABIN PRESSURIZED SLIGHTLY. WHEN THE MECHANIC RETURNED TO THE AIRCRAFT WITH THE MAINTENANCE LOG THE PIC DIRECTED THE F/A TO OPEN THE GALLEY SERVICE DOOR TO RECEIVE THE MAINTENANCE LOG BOOK. CABIN PRESSURE FORCED THE GALLEY SERVICE DOOR OPEN WITH SUCH FORCE THAT IT WAS PULLED FROM THE F/A'S GRASP AND THE HINGES WERE DAMAGED TO THE EXTENT THAT THE GALLEY SERVICE DOOR COULD NOT BE CLOSED PROPERLY.

BOTH PILOTS SUBMITTED EVENT REPORTS THROUGH THE A6WA ASAP PROGRAM. THE REPORTS WERE ACCEPTED BY THE ERC AND THE ISSUES IN THE REPORTS WERE RESOLVED IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE A6WA ASAP MOU.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
