## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

PILOT REPORTED THAT AS HE BEGAN HIS FINAL APPROACH TO SHADE TREE AIRPORT, (M82) IN GULFPORT, MS HIS GPS SHOWED A STORM APPEARING TO BE TEN MILES NORTH OF THE AIRPORT, (M82). BUT AS HE REACHED FOR THE GEAR HANDLE AND ENCOUNTERED STRONG TURBULENCE HIS ATTENTION WAS DIVERTED TO FLYING THE AIRCRAFT AND FORGOT TO PUT THE LANDING GEAR DOWN. THE LANDING WAS ON A WET GRASS FIELD AND THE ONLY DAMAGE WAS TO PROPELLER AND THE TRANSPONDER ANTENNA. NO OTHER DAMAGE TO THE AIRCRAFT AND NO INJURES.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
