## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

AT THE TIME OF THE INCIDENT THE WINDS AT KRVS WERE INCREASING IN VELOCITY AND CHANGING AND VARIABLE IN DIRECTION.

BETWEEN 1340 AND 1353 LOCAL THREE UPDATES TO THE ATIS INFORMATION WERE MADE DUE TO WINDS.

SPECI KRVS 141840Z 32008G26KT 260V350

SPECI KRVS 141846Z AUTO 31011G19KT

METAR KRVS 141853Z 32012G23KT

THE PILOT WAS ATTEMPTING TO LAND ON RUNWAY 31 WHICH IS THE CROSSWIND RUNWAY AT KRVS. AS THE PILOT SETTLED ONTO THE GROUND DURING THE FLARE HE STATED THAT HE FELT THE PLANE LIFT BACK IN THE AIR SUDDENLY. IN AN ATTEMPT TO PREVENT THE AIRCRAFT FROM LIFTING OFF THE PILOT APPLIED FOWARD PRESSURE ON THE CONTROLS. THE AIRCRAFT THEN BEGAN TO PORPOSE CAUSING THE PROPELLER TO STRIKE THE RUNWAY.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
