## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

ON OCTOBER 19, 2014 AN AMATEUR BUILT AIRCRAFT, MODEL STOL 1, REGISTRATION N403TS, SERIAL NUMBER 1. WAS OPERATED BY A PRIVATE PILOT. THE AIRCRAFT DEPARTED A PRIVATE AIRSTRIP (AR11), AFTER APPROXIMATED 10 MINUTES OF FLIGHT TIME OIL WAS SEEN ON THE WIND SCREEN AND THE SMELL OF OIL WAS NOTICED. PILOT RETURNED TO AIRPORT LANDED THE AIRCRAFT AND ON ROLL OUT LIGHTLY IMPACTED A TREE, AIRCRAFT TURNED LEFT AND CAME TO STOP. MINOR DAMAGE TO LEFT WING (SMALL DENT). NO INJURIES.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
