## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

PIC STATED THAT ON DEPARTURE ROLLOUT, HE NOTICED WHEN HE HIT 40 KNOTS ON THE ASI. THAT HIS NOSE WAS DIPPING, SO HE THROTTLED BACK TO IDLE AND ABORTED THE TAKE OFF. ONCE THE AIRCRAFT STARTED TO SLOW DOWN, THE NOSE DROPPED DUE TO THE NOSE LANDING GEAR COLLAPSING. THE PIC STATED THAT HE DIDN'T GET THE CHANCE TO SHUT DOWN THE ENGINE, WHEN THE PROP IN TURN STRUCK THE DECK. THE AIRCRAFT SKIDDED FOR A FEW FEET. THERE IS DAMAGE TO THE ENGINE LOWER COWLING, PROP, AND ENGINE DUE TO THE SUDDEN STOPPAGE. THE PILOT WAS NOT INJURED.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
