## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

ON OCT. 26, 2014, A CESSNA T210, XB-NCZ, LOST POWER ON APPROACH TO THE BROWNSVILLE AIRPORT. THE AIRCRAFT DID A FORCED FIELD LANDING SHORT OF THE AIRPORT PROPERTY.

THE PILOT AND PASSENGER SUSTAINED MINOR INJURIES.

THE AIRCRAFT HAD SUBSTANTIAL DAMAGE.

THE INVESTIGATION REVEALED THE AIRCRAFT HAD RUN OUT OF FUEL ON BOTH TANKS. ACCORDING TO THE PILOT, HE HAD SWITCHED TO THE RIGHT FUEL TANK, PULLED BACK ON THE POWER AND LOWERED THE FLAPS TO 20 DEGREES. WHEN HE WENT TO APPLY POWER NOTHING HAPPENED AND REALIZED THAT THE ENGINE HAD QUIT.

## NTSB investigation

None matched to this report by aircraft and date. Search the NTSB's own records: https://data.ntsb.gov/carol-main-public/basic-search

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
