## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

SHORTLY AFTER TAKEOFF AND AT AN ALTITUDE OF APPROXIMATELY 100 FEET AGL, THE ENGINE LOST POWER. THE PILOT PERFORMED AN EMERGENCY LANDING. DURING THE EMERGENCY LANDING, THE AIRCRAFT BOUNCED SEVERAL TIMES, WENT THROUGH A BARBED-WIRE FENCE, NOSED OVER, AND CAME TO REST UPSIDE DOWN. THE RUDDER SUSTAINED SUBSTANTIAL DAMAGE.

## The NTSB's investigation of this event (1)

From the NTSB's public API. Aircraft are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported serial number, make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

- [NTSB WPR15LA029](https://openairdocs.org/ntsb/WPR15LA029), Oct 28, 2014: Henry Steven J Just Acft Superstol (N682SC), Murphy, ID, substantial damage. Probable cause: The pilot’s failure to properly manage the fuel supply, which resulted in a total loss of engine power due to fuel starvation.

## Other reports on N682SC (1)

Matched to the same aircraft by N-number and date.

- [Incident 20150403003469I](https://openairdocs.org/incident/20150403003469I), Apr 3, 2015: Henry Steven J JUST ACFT SUPERSTOL (N682SC), Murphy, ID, Minor damage. From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
