## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

THIS AIRMAN WAS ON A FLIGHT FROM FALMOUTH AIRPARK TO NANTUCKET. ON DEPARTURE PIC HEARD A POP UNDER HIS SEAT WHEN RETRACTING THE LANDING GEAR. ON APPROACH TO NANTUCKET HE REPORTED THAT WHEN EXTENDING THE LANDING GEAR THE NOSE GEAR WOULD NOT DEPLOY.

PIC EXECUTED A GO AROUND AND DECLARED AN EMERGENCY. HE FLEW EAST OF HYA AND A FRIEND FLYING ANOTHER AIRCRAFT JOINED UP WITH HIM AND CONFIRMED VISUALLY THE NOSE LANDING GEAR WAS NOT DOWN.

PIC MADE A NOSE GEAR UP LANDING AT HYA

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
