## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

AVA 008 WAS TAXING TO THEIR GATE AT MIA LEAD BY TWO WING WALKERS AND A LEAD WALKER OUT SIDE OF THE ATC TOWER CONTROL AREA. THE AVIANCA RIGHT WING TIP HIT THE AIR CANADA A-320 WINGLET THAT WAS PARKED AT GATE J-5 WHILE TRYING TO PARK AT GATE J-3. THE INVESTIGATION MADE BY MIAMI PORTS AUTHORITY REVEALED THAT THE GROUND CREW LEADING THE AIRCRAFT DID NOT MADE A GOOD JOB CLEARING THE AIRCRAFT DURING TAXI INN.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
