## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

N420AH DEPARTED GSO ENROUTE TO LIT AIRPORT. THE PILOT DECIDED TO RTN TO GSO TO HAVE AN AVIONICS ISSUE CHECKED BEFORE CONTINUING TO DESTINATION. ON LANDING ROLL THE LOCAL CONTROLLER NOTICED A CYLINDRICAL OBJECT COME OFF THE AIRCRAFT. THE PILOT WAS INFORMED. THE PILOT LATER STATED THAT HE WANTED THE FIRE TRUCKS ON THE SCENE AS HE MAY HAVE HOT BRAKES. FIRE TRUCKS RESPONDED AND THE AIRCRAFT WAS TOWED OFF THE RUNWAY. THE RUNWAY WAS REOPENED AT APPROX. 1658Z. THE PILOT CALLED AND STATED THAT THE OBJECT SEEN COMING OFF THE AIRCRAFT WAS PART OF THE RIGHT MAIN LANDING GEAR.

MLG RH TIRE ON N420AH BLEW OUT SHORTLY AFTER LANDING AT KGSO. THE TIRE WAS CHANGED OUT ON THE RUNWAY AND THE AIRCRAFT RETURNED TO HACI FACILITIES. VISUAL EXAMINATION OF THE AIRCRAFT, REVEALED MINOR DAMAGE TO THE RH FLAP ASSY. THE INITIAL EXAMINATION OF THE BLOWOUT TIRE WHICH REVEALED A PUNCTURE IN THE TREAD AREA IS BEING CONSIDERED AS THE SOLE CAUSE OF THE BLOWOUT.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
