## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

DURING CRUISE FLIGHT FROM SIDNEY, NEBRASKA (KSNY) TO RAPID CITY, SOUTH DAKOTA (KRAP), N523TH, BEECH C90A, S/N - LJ-1219 LOST POWER TO BOTH ENGINES DUE TO FUEL EXHAUSTION. THE PILOT ATTEMPTED TO LAND AT CHADRON, NEBRASKA (KCDR). HOWEVER, THE PILOT LANDED THE AIRCRAFT SHORT OF THE RUNWAY AND RAN THROUGH A BARBED WIRE FENCE. THE AIRCRAFT SUSTAINED MINOR DAMAGE.

PILOT STATEMENT:

I DEPARTED KSNY WITH 2 HOURS FUEL ON BOARD AIRCRAFT WITH DESTINATION OF KRAP. NEAR KCDR THE LEFT FUEL PRESSURE LIGHT CAME ON AND I MADE A DECISION TO AND TRY AND LAND AT KCDR. ONE MINUTE LATER THE RIGHT FUEL PRESSURE LIGHT CAME ON. I FEATHERED BOTH PROPS AND CUT THE FUEL. I TOUCHED DOWN ON ALL 3 LANDING GEAR IN A FIELD 300 YARDS SHORT OF RUNWAY 29 AT KCDR AND RAN THROUGH A BARBED WIRE FENCE BEFORE COMING TO A STOP. THERE IS 400 LBS OF FUEL ON BOARD THE AIRCRAFT. THERE WERE TWO SOULS ON BOARD WITH NO INJURIES.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
