## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

THIS AIRCRAFT WAS ATTEMPTING TO LAND IN AN OPEN FIELD TO PICK UP A PASSENGER THAT WAS INVOLVED IN A VEHICLE ACCIDENT AND TRANSPORT THE PATIENT TO THE HOSPITAL. WHILE LANDING, THE AIRCRAFT STRUCK AN ELECTRICAL POWER LINE THAT WAS APPROXIMATELY ¼ INCH IN DIAMETER WITH THE RIGHT OUTBOARD SECTION OF THE ROTOR DISK. THE PILOT WAS ABLE TO CONTROL THE DECENT OF THE AIRCRAFT AND LANDED WITHOUT FURTHER INCIDENT. THE CONTACT WITH THE CABLE CAUSED DAMAGE TO ALL FIVE MAIN ROTOR BLADES AND A PIECE OF THE CABLE PUT A HOLE IN THE COCKPIT RIGHT SIDE WINDOW. NO OTHER DAMAGE WAS NOTED.
