## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

ON 11/28/2014 AT APPROXIMATELY 1130 DURING A LESSON ON EMERGENCY DESENTS IN N5283M(BE76), PILOT WAS ATTEMPTING TO LOWER GEAR , WHEN HE OBSERVED THAT HE HAD "TWO GREEN ONE RED CONDITION" INDICATING THAT THE NOSE GEAR WAS NOT IN THE DOWN AND LOCKED POSITION.

MANUAL GEAR EXTENTION WAS ATTEMPTED BUT UNSUCCESSFUL.

PILOT THEN INFORMED THE TOWER THAT HE WAS DECLARING AN EMERGENCY LANDING AND LANDED THE AIRCRAFT WITH THE NOSE GEAR IN THE UP POSITION. RESULTING IN MINOR DAMAGE TO AIRCRAFT.

THERE WERE TWO PERSONS ON BOARD NO INJURIES.

CAUSE OF GEAR MALFUNCTION WAS FOUND TO BE THAT THE RIGGING ON THE GEAR DOOR WAS DAMAGED AND GOT STUCK IN A POSITION THAT WOULD NOT ALLOW THE GEAR DOORS TO OPEN.MECHANIC STATED HE WOULD FILE A MALFUNCTION OR DEFECT REPORT.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
