## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

N66CL WAS IFR AT 10,000 FT AT ABOUT 21:15 GOING FROM KMHK TO KDDC WITH 5 PASSENGERS ON BOARD. THE LEFT ENGINE BEGAN RUNNING ROUGHLY AND THEN QUIT WITHIN 20 SECONDS OF FIRST INDICATION. THE ENGINE WAS SECURED AND THE PROP WAS FEATHERED. KANSAS CITY CENTER WAS NOTIFIED AND THE DECISION WAS MADE TO LAND AT KLQR DUE TO PROXIMITY. THE AIRCRAFT LANDED SAFELY AT KLQR WITH NO INJURIES. A TEARDOWN INSPECTION REPORT IS BEING PREPARED BY CRS# VAIR551K BUT HAS NOT BEEN PROVIDED YET. THIS FORM WILL BE UPDATED ONCE THIS OFFICE RECEIVES THE REPORT, IF NESSARY.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
