## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

AN AIRCRAFT, OFF DEPARTURE FROM THE END OF RUNWAY 36 AT OXC, ADVISED THE TOWER THAT THERE WAS TRAFFIC NORTH OF THE FIELD WHICH HAD BEEN PICKED UP ON THEIR TCAS.

THE TOWER OBSERVED A CESSNA AND ASCERTAINED THE TRAFFIC WAS N9330A. THE TOWER THEN ISSUED INSTRUCTIONS TO THE PILOT OF N9330A FOR PATTERN ENTRY. THE PILOT STATED THAT HE LOST SIGHT OF THE AIRPORT. THE TOWER ISSUED HEADINGS/DIRECTIONS TO ENTER THE PATTERN. ON FINAL THE PILOT ADVISED THE TOWER THAT HE WAS MAKING A LEFT 360 DEGREE TURN. THE AIRCRAFT UNDERSHOT THE RUNWAY AND APPEARED VERY LOW AND SLIGHTLY ERRATIC. AT SOME POINT DURING THE LEFT TURN, THE LEFT WING CAME INTO CONTACT WITH ONE OR MORE TREES DENTING THE LEADING EDGE OF THE WING TIP, AND BREAKING THE LEFT NAVIGATION LIGHT.

NOTE: AIRCRAFT AND PILOT RECORDS WERE NOT MADE AVAILABLE TO THE FAA UNTIL 02/06/2015.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
