## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

THE EYE WITNESS STATED THAT N8080S DEPARTED RUNWAY 33 AT S39 IN A STEEP CLIMB ATTITUDE. THE RV-9A STALLED AT APPROXIMATELY 1000 FEET ABOVE GROUND LEVEL AND SPUN TO THE RIGHT. IT IMPACTED THE PARALLEL TAXIWAY TO RUNWAY 10/28 AND BURNED. THE PILOT IN COMMAND WAS FATALLY INJURED.

## The NTSB's investigation of this event (1)

From the NTSB's public API. Aircraft are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported serial number, make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

- [NTSB WPR15LA084](https://openairdocs.org/ntsb/WPR15LA084), Jan 11, 2015: Bruct J Myers RV-9A (N8080S), Prineville, OR, destroyed, 1 fatal. Probable cause: The pilot's failure to maintain adequate airspeed and his exceedance of the airplane's critical angle of attack during the climb, which resulted in an aerodynamic stall/spin.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
