## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

AIRMAN WAS GIVING DUAL TRAINING TO A STUDENT PILOT IN THE TRAFFIC PATTERN. WIND WAS A GUSTING RIGHT CROSSWIND, 45 DEGREES AT 12 TO 15 KNOTS. HE ALLOWED THE STUDENT TO GET TOO SLOW OVER THE DOWNWIND EDGE OF THE RUNWAY BEFORE INITIATING A GO AROUND. STUDENT WAS SLOW TO RELEASE THE CONTROLS AND ALLOW HIM TO ADJUST THE AIRCRAFT ATTITUDE, SO THE AIRPLANE STALLED AND TOUCHED DOWN IN THE GRAVEL ON THE EDGE OF THE RUNWAY.

THE CREW WAS NOT INJURED, THE AIRPLANE SUSTAINED MINOR DAMAGE.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
