## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

INSTALLED TAIL SKID TO ENHANCE SHORT FIELD TAKEOFF PERFORMANCE. ROTATED EARLY/EXCESSIVELY. AIRPLANE FAILED TO CLIMB AND STRUCK THE GROUND LEFT WING TIP FIRST AND CARTWHEELED OFF OF RUNWAY TO THE LEFT SIDE RESTING 90 DEGREES TO THE RUNWAY (FACING NORTH ON SOUTH SIDE OF RUNWAY). PILOT UNINJURED.

## The NTSB's investigation of this event (1)

From the NTSB's public API. Aircraft are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported serial number, make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

- [NTSB WPR15CA118](https://openairdocs.org/ntsb/WPR15CA118), Mar 3, 2015: Christopher Jon Brown Stol CH750 (N756AC), Palmdale, CA, substantial damage. Probable cause: The pilot's failure to maintain airplane control when he exceeded the airplane's critical angle of attack during climb out which resulted in a loss of airspeed and subsequent aerodynamic stall.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
