## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

ON 3/7/2015 THE PILOT WAS OPERATING AIRCRAFT N299BH FROM GEORGETOWN MUNICIPAL AIRPORT (KGTU) TO JONES FARM FIELD (OK12) IN VFR CONDITIONS. AIRCRAFT N299BH IS REGISTERED AS A BEARHAWK MODEL AIRCRAFT, SERIAL NUMBER 064-121-122-930, WHICH IS A FIX WING SINGLE ENGINE AIRCRAFT WITH THE CERTIFICATION CATEGORY AS EXPERIMENTAL-AMATEUR BUILT.

AT APPROXIMATELY 2020 CENTRAL TIME, WHILE LANDING AT OK12 THE AIRCRAFT, N299BH VEERED OFF THE GRASS/TURFED RUNWAY. THE AIRCRAFT HAD TWO PEOPLE ON BOARD WHICH RECEIVED NO INJURIES. AFTER LANDING/TOUCHDOWN WHILE THE AIRCRAFT WAS ROLLING FORWARD, THE PILOT STARTED APPLYING BRAKES. THE PILOT STATED HE COULD SEE THE AIRCRAFT HAD BEGUN VEERING TO THE RIGHT AND APPLIED LEFT RUDDER/BRAKE & LEFT AILERON CORRECTION, BUT THE AIRCRAFT CONTINUED TO THE RIGHT, BOUNCING BACK INTO THE AIR AND THEN LANDING AGAIN WHILE DEPARTING THE RUNWAY. THE AIRCRAFT STRUCK A BARBED WIRE FENCE & A 2 INCH STEEL-END POST SET IN CONCRETE, ABOUT 115 FEET TO THE SIDE OF THE RUNWAY.

## The NTSB's investigation of this event (1)

From the NTSB's public API. Aircraft are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported serial number, make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

- [NTSB CEN15CA168](https://openairdocs.org/ntsb/CEN15CA168), Mar 8, 2015: Jones Ronald C Bearhawk (N299BH), Walters, OK, substantial damage. Probable cause: The pilot did not maintain control of the airplane during the landing roll at night on an unlit grass strip.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
