## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

DURING THE LANDING ROLL-OUT THE FLYING PILOT (THE INSTRUCTOR) ASKED THE STUDENT TO "APPLY SOME BRAKES" AS THERE ARE ONLY BRAKES LOCATED ON THE LEFT SIDE OF THE AIRCRAFT WHERE THE STUDENT WAS LOCATED. AT THAT TIME THE STUDENT DID NOT HAVE HIS HANDS OR FEET ON THE CONTROLS AND DURING THE TRANSFER OF CONTROLS THE AIRCRAFT VEERED TO THE LEFT, THE STUDENT CORRECTED AND THE AIRCRAFT VEERED TO THE RIGHT. THE INSTRUCTOR APPLIED FULL LEFT RUDDER. WHEN THIS HAPPENED IT PUSHED THE STUDENT'S RIGHT RUDDER PEDAL INTO HIS FOOT PUTTING PRESSURE ON THAT BRAKE. A COMBINATION OF THE TURN AND BRAKE APPLICATION CAUSED THE AIRCRAFT TO TIP UP ON IT'S NOSE.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
