## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

WHILE THE FLIGHT CREW WERE PREPARING FOR FINAL APPROACH, THE LANDING GEAR HANDLE WAS SELECTED IN THE GEAR DOWN POSITION AND THE FLIGHT CREW RECEIVED AN UNSAFE GEAR MESSAGE. THE NOSE LANDING GEAR DID NOT EXTEND DURING LANDING IN ORD. A GO AROUND WAS COMPLETED AND THE FIRST OFFICER COMPLETED THE INSTRUCTIONS IN THE QRH FOR GEAR DISAGREE. THIS DID NOT FIX THE ISSUE. THE CREW DECLARED AN EMERGENCY AND DID A LOW PASS OF THE TOWER SO A VISUAL CHECK COULD BE ACCOMPLISHED. THE TOWER VERIFIED THE NOSE LANDING GEAR WAS NOT EXTENDED. THE CREW WAS ABLE TO LAND THE AIRCRAFT ON RUNWAY 32R WITH THE NOSE LANDING GEAR UP AND MAIN LANDING GEARS DOWN.

THERE WERE 40 PASSENGERS, AND 4 CREW MEMBERS ON BOARD. NO INJURIES WHERE REPORTED AT THIS TIME. THE CREW AND PASSENGERS WERE TRANSPORTED TO THE TERMINAL.

THE AIRCRAFT WAS RECOVERED AND TOWED TO HANGAR 5 FOR REPAIR THE GOJET GO TEAM ENTERED A DISCREPANCY ON LOG-PAGE 279377.

MAINTENANCE PERSONNEL PERFORMED AN INSPECTION, AND FOUND DAMAGE TO THE DRIVE LINK BRACKET BOLT AND THE MAIN LANDING GEAR DOORS. THE NTSB IS EVALUATING SEVERAL NOSE LANDING GEAR (NLG) COMPONENTS AS FOLLOW, ARM ASSEMBLY DRIVE ? PN 52620-3, LINK ASSEMBLY DRIVE ? PN 52601-3, LOCK LINK ASSEMBLY LOWER ? PN 52207-3 AND NLG UPPER DRAG BRACE ? PN 52201-7. IT IS IMPORTANT TO NOTE THAT NONE OF THESE PARTS HAVE BEEN IDENTIFIED AS THE CAUSE AT THIS TIME. A STRUCTURAL INSPECTION WAS COMPLIED WITH (C/W), AND MAINTENANCE FOUND MINIMUM STRUCTURAL DAMAGE BETWEEN FUSELAGE STATIONS (FS) FS169.0, FS250.0 AND STRINGERS 25L-25R. GOJET LLC, REQUESTED A REPAIR ENGINEERING ORDER (REO), AND THE REQUEST WAS GRANTED. THE REO WAS C/W, AND THIS AIRCRAFT WAS ACCEPTABLE FOR ONE FERRY FLIGHT ONLY, TO AVMAX REPAIR STATION, LOCATED IN JAX FOR REPAIR.

## The NTSB's investigation of this event (1)

From the NTSB's public API. Aircraft are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported serial number, make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

- [NTSB DCA15IA089](https://openairdocs.org/ntsb/DCA15IA089), Mar 14, 2015: Bombardier CL 600 2C10 (N157GJ), Chicago, IL, incident, minor damage. Probable cause: The nose landing gear’s failure to fully extend due to missing and damaged fastening hardware on the drive arm assembly.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
