## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

SPORT PILOT ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^ WAS PRACTICING TAKEOFF AND LANDINGS IN PREPARATION FOR TESTING FOR HER PRIVATE PILOT CERTIFICATE. SHE ATTEMPTED TO CONDUCT A NOSE HIGH SOFT FIELD TAKEOFF ON RUNWAY 34 FOR THE FIRST TIME BY HERSELF AND ON PAVEMENT. DURING THE TAKEOFF ROLL THE PILOT LOST SIGHT OF THE RUNWAY, LOST DIRECTIONAL CONTROL AND COULD NOT RECOVER. SHE RAN OFF THE RUNWAY TO THE LEFT WHICH RESULTED IN THE ACCIDENT.

## The NTSB's investigation of this event (1)

From the NTSB's public API. Aircraft are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported serial number, make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

- [NTSB GAA15CA014](https://openairdocs.org/ntsb/GAA15CA014), Mar 19, 2015: Costruzioni Aeronautiche Tecna P92 Eaglet (N731HG), Cambridge, MD, substantial damage. Probable cause: The pilot's failure to maintain directional control during takeoff.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
