## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

MARCH 19, 2015 THE PILOT, SOLE PERSON ONBOARD, NO INJURIES. THE PILOT WAS PRACITICING SHORT FIELD TAKE OFF AND LANDINGS AT THE MIDLAND SKYWEST AIRPORT. DURING THE LANDING ROLL OUT, THE PILOT APPLIED THE BRAKES TO HEAVILY, AND THE AIRCRAFT FLIP OVER ON ITS BACK. WEATHER WAS NOT A FACTOR. THE AIRCRAFT SUSTANDED MINOR DAMAGE.

## The NTSB's investigation of this event (1)

From the NTSB's public API. Aircraft are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported serial number, make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

- [NTSB GAA15CA012](https://openairdocs.org/ntsb/GAA15CA012), Mar 19, 2015: Piper PA 12 (N2722M), Midland, TX, substantial damage. Probable cause: The pilot's excessive braking during the landing roll.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
