## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

PILOT WAS ON APPROACH TO AIRPORT, AFTER TOUCHDOWN HE ACTUATED THE BRAKE HANDLE WITH NO BRAKING ABILITY. PILOT PUMPED BRAKES TO BUILD PRESSURE. FINALLY THE BRAKES WERE WORKING, HOWEVER A LITTLE LATE THE PILOT LOCKED UP THE BRAKES AND SKIDDED OFF THE END OF THE RUNWAY. THE AIRCRAFT FLIPPED OVER AND DOWN AN EMBANKMENT APPROXIMATELY 30 FT. THE AIRCRAFT CAME TO REST AND THE CREW EVACUATED THE AIRCRAFT.

## The NTSB's investigation of this event (1)

From the NTSB's public API. Aircraft are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported serial number, make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

- [NTSB ERA15LA186](https://openairdocs.org/ntsb/ERA15LA186), Mar 21, 2015: Piper PA-28-235 (N8803W), Woodstock, GA, substantial damage. Probable cause: The pilot's failure to attain the proper touchdown point on the short, wet, turf runway. Contributing to the accident was the pilot’s use of a high approach speed.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
