## The NTSB's investigation of this event (1)

- [NTSB CEN15LA215](https://openairdocs.org/ntsb/CEN15LA215), Mar 24, 2015: Cessna 172 - H (N8282L), Circleville, TX, substantial damage. Probable cause: The failure of the engine to regain normal power after a simulated engine failure due to carburetor icing, which resulted in a forced landing on muddy terrain and a subsequent nose-over.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong.
