## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

PILOT WAS ENROUTE TO RKS FROM RIGBY IDAHO. PILOT NOTICED HE HAD LESS FUEL THAN HE THOUGHT HE SHOULD HAVE. THE PILOT STATED HE TRIED TO TRANSFER FUEL FROM THE AUX TANK AND WAS UNSUCCESSFUL. DUE TO THE LOW FUEL THE PILOT LANDED ON A DIRT ROAD IN BOULDER, WY. THE PILOT LANDED SUCCESSFULLY, VISUALLY CHECKED HIS FUEL TANKS, AND ASCERTAINED HE HAD ADEQUATE FUEL TO TAKE OFF AND FLY TO PNA. ON TAKEOFF ROLL PILOT ENCOUNTERED A STRONG CROSSWIND AND GROUND LOOPED. THE PILOT WAS UNINJURED, HIS PASSENGER SUFFERED SEVERAL SMALL BRAIN HEMMORAGES, WAS HOSPITALIZED AND RELEASED THREE DAYS LATER. COUNSELED THE PILOT ON ATTEMPTING TAKE OFF FROM A DIRT ROAD.
