## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

AT OR ABOUT 2230 ON APRIL 2, 2015, A DEPARTMENT OF HOMELAND SECURITY AS350 STRUCK SOME BIRDS 8 MILES WEST OF DAVID WAYNE HOOKS AIRPORT. IT WAS REPORTED THAT THE HELICOPTER HIT THE BIRDS, WHILE AT 3,500 FEET MSL. THE PILOT REPORTED THAT SOME OF THE BIRDS MADE IT THROUGH BOTH WIND SCREENS. ADDITIONAL DAMAGE RESULTED IN A ROTOR BLADE BEING REPLACED. THE PILOT THEN FLEW THE HELICOPTER TO DAVID WAYNE HOOKS AIRPORT AND LANDED WITH NO OTHER PROBLEMS.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
