## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

AFTER TAKEOFF FROM TXK, THE PILOT NOTICED THE OIL FILLER DOOR WAS NOT SECURE. HE DECIDED TO RETURN TO TXK TO SECURE THE DOOR. UPON LANDING, THE AIRCRAFT STRUCK NOSE WHEEL FIRST IN A CROSS WIND AND NOT ON CENTER LINE. DURING ROLLOUT, THE AIRCRAFT SUBSEQUENTLY DEPARTED THE RUNWAY STRIKING A RUNWAY MARKING SIGN WITH THE RIGHT WING OF THE AIRCRAFT.

AIRWORTHINESS REGISTRATION AND CERTIFICATE WHERE NOT IN THE AIRCRAFT AND CURRENT MAINTENANCE COULD NOT BE VERIFIED AS PART OF THE INCIDENT INVESTIGATION. THE OWNER OF THE AIRCRAFT, NOT THE PILOT, HAS FAILED TO PROVIDE THE REQUESTED DOCUMENTATION TO THE INVESTIGATING INSPECTOR.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
