AT RUNWAY THRESHOLD, PILOT REDUCED THROTTLE TO IDLE AND LANDED JUST PAST THE NUMBERS, THE MAIN TIRES TOUCHED FIRST FOLLOWED BY THE NOSE TIRE. AS THE NOSE TIRE TOUCHED, THE AIRCRAFT YAWED TO THE LEFT, THE PILOT APPLIED RIGHT RUDDER AND THE NOSE YAWED ABRUPTLY TO THE RIGHT APPROXIAMATELY 30 DEGREES. AS THE AIRCRAFT DEPARTED THE RIGHT SIDE OF THE RUNWAY, THE AIRCRAFT IMPACTED ARRESTING GEAR BARRIER EQUIPMENT (GENERATOR VENTS & SIGNAGE). DAMAGE INCLUDES PROP, BENT RIGHT WING STRUT, IMPACT DAMAGE ON AFT FUSELAGE AND BOTH HORIZONTAL STABILIZERS AND LEFT ELEVATOR.

## The NTSB's investigation of this event (1)

From the NTSB's public API. Aircraft are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported serial number, make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

- [NTSB WPR15LA148](https://openairdocs.org/ntsb/WPR15LA148), Apr 4, 2015: Cessna 206H (N245RB), Honolulu, HI, substantial damage. Probable cause: A blown nose landing gear tire during landing, which resulted in the pilot’s inability to maintain directional control.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
