## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

ACCORDING TO THE PILOT OF THE AIRCRAFT, HE STATED THE ENGINE RUNNING ROUGH. HE DETERMINED HE COULD NOT MAKE IT TO HIS DISTINATION AND BEGAN TO SEARCH FOR A PLACE TO LAND. THINKING THE ROAD WAS CLEAR HE ATTEMPTED TO LAND ON THE ROAD. A TRUCK WAS COMING DOWN THE ROAD AND THE AIRCRAFT STRUCT THE TRUCK. THE AIRCRAFT CAME TO REST ON TOP OF THE TRUCK.

## The NTSB's investigation of this event (1)

From the NTSB's public API. Aircraft are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported serial number, make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

- [NTSB ERA15LA201](https://openairdocs.org/ntsb/ERA15LA201), Apr 16, 2015: Universal Stinson 108-1 (N9799G), Macon, MS, substantial damage. Probable cause: A partial loss of engine power for reasons that could not be determined based on the available information.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
