## The NTSB's investigation of this event (1)

From the NTSB's public API. Aircraft are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported serial number, make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

- [NTSB ANC15LA023](https://openairdocs.org/ntsb/ANC15LA023), Apr 23, 2015: Cessna 185 (N4554F), Nome, AK, substantial damage. Probable cause: The failure of the left main landing gear leg for reasons that could not be determined based on the available evidence.

## Other reports on N4554F (1)

- [Incident 19920515023039I](https://openairdocs.org/incident/19920515023039I), May 15, 1992: Cessna A185E (N4554F), King Salmon, AK, Minor damage. Right tire went flat as pilot applied brakes on a crosswind landing. Aircraft ground looped.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
