## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

PILOTS STATED THAT DURING RELOCATION TO HIS HANGAR ON A GRASS STRIP, THERE WAS A HILL IN THE GRASS STRIP, WHEN POWER WAS APPLIED TO GET AIRCRAFT OVER THE HILL, THE AIRCRAFT LEFT BRAKE WAS INEFFECTIVE AND HE TRIED TO APPLY DIFFERENTIAL ENGINE POWER TO CORRECT THE AIRCRAFT POSITION, THE AIRCRAFT DEPARTED THE GRASS STRIP AND HIT TWO TREES CAUSING SUBSTANTIAL DAMAGE TO THE LEFT WING AND LEFT PROPELLER.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
