## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

THE PILOT STATED THE AIRCRAFT DEPARTED FROM DEER PARK AIRPORT ON RUNWAY 23. AT APPROXIMATELY 400 FEET AGL THE PILOT TURNED LEFT ON CROSSWIND AND EXPERIENCED A SEVERE SINK AND COULDN'T MAINTAIN ALTITUDE. THE PILOT DIDN'T HAVE ENOUGH ALTITUDE TO TURN BACK TO THE RUNWAY. IT WAS AT THAT POINT THE PILOT THEN DECIDED TO LAND IN A FIELD ADJACENT TO THE AIRPORT. AFTER TOUCH DOWN THE LEFT WING TIP DUG IN THE SOFT GROUND CAUSING A GROUND LOOP, SUBSEQUENTLY CAUSING THE EMPENNAGE TO DETACH FROM THE AIRCRAFT. THE AIRCRAFT CAME TO RESET UPRIGHT FACING THE SOUTH TOWARDS MILAN RD. NO INJURIES WERE REPORTED.
