## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

ACCORDING TO JNU FSDO DUTY OFFICER, ROC NOTIFIED HIM @ 2145 ON 06/07/2015 THAT THERE HAD BEEN AN INCIDENT/ACCIDENT @ THE JUNEAU AIRPORT FLOAT POND. NTSB'S INVESTIGATOR WAS ALSO ON THE CALL LINE AND STATED THE NTSB WOULD NOT BE OPENING AN INVESTIGATION. FAA INSPECTOR DROVE DOWN TO THE FLOAT POND ON THE MORNING OF THE 8TH AND SPOKE WITH JNU ATCT, & THE CITY RUNWAY MAINTENANCE CREW WHO WERE AT THE SCENE, AND TOOK PICTURES OF THE 2 AIRCRAFT INVOLVED. ACCORDING TO JNU ATCT 490DB HAD STARTED TAXIIG AWAY FROM IT'S DOCK WHEN THE ENGINE QUIT. THE PILOT RESTARTED THE ENGINE AND AS THE AIRCRAFT HAD BEGUN TO WEATHER COCK TO THE NORTH(LEFT) WAS NOT ABLE TO MANEUVER IN ORDER TO MISS THE CE-180 N2453F AIRCRAFT MOORED TO THE NEXT DOCK TO THE SO. HE SHUT THE ENGINE DOWN JUST BEFORE IMPACTING THE MOORED AIRCRAFT.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
