## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

N72307 WAS BEING FLOWN FROM CHADRON, NE (KCDR) TO LAKE IN THE HILLS, IL (3CK) BY THE ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^, TO DELIVER TO THE NEW OWNER, JASON CARREIA (DREAMCO, INC). THE AIRCRAFT DEPARTED KCDR AT APPROXIMATELY 0800 MDT ON 6/8 AND MADE FUEL STOPS AT VALENTINE, NE (KVTN) AND GURNEY, SD (KYKN). AN OVERNIGHT STOP WAS PLANNED FOR KALO DUE TO INCLEMENT WEATHER AT THE DESTINATION AIRPORT. WEATHER WAS BRIEFED AS VFR WITH GUSTY WINDS AT KALO. SET UP AND APPROACH TO RUNWAY 30 WERE NORMAL. REPORTED WINDS WERE 310 AT 13 GUSTING TO 23. THE AIRCRAFT MADE CONTACT WITH THE RUNWAY AND THEN A GUST OF WIND GOT UNDER THE RIGHT WING CAUSING THE LEFT WING TO CONTACT THE PAVEMENT. THE AIRCRAFT REMAINED ON THE RUNWAY, APPROXIMATELY 90 DEGREES TO RUNWAY HEADING. THE AIRCRAFT RECEIVED COSMETIC PAINT DAMAGE TO THE LEFT WING TIP, APPROXIMATELY 6" LONG, AND A BENT LEFT WHEEL.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
