## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

ON 6/10/2015 AT APPROXIMATELY 15:05 EDT PILOT LANDED ON RWY 1 AT GFL AFTER SHUTTING DOWN THE LH ENGINE DUE TO HIGH TEMPERATURE OF THE # 3 AND # 5 CYLINDERS, ACCOMPANIED BY HIGH OIL TEMPERATURE AND LOW OIL PRESSURE OF THE LEFT ENGINE.

ON JUNE 19, 2015 AN ENGINE TEARDOWN INSPECTION FOUND THAT THE # 5 CYLINDER HAD SEVERE SCORING AND 'WASHBOARDING' OF THE CYLINDER WALLS, WHICH WAS DUE TO THE INSTALLATION AND USE OF CHROME RINGS INSIDE A CHROME PLATED CYLINDER ASSEMBLY.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
