## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

ON JUNE 23, 2015, AT APPROXIMATELY 0758 MOUNTAIN DAYLIGHT TIME, A SINGLE ENGINE PIETENPOL AIR CAMPER AIRCRAFT, REGISTRATION NUMBER: N313KB, RECEIVED MINOR DAMAGE UPON IMPACTING THE GROUND FOLLOWING A LOSS OF ENGINE POWER.

THE PRIVATE PILOT DID NOT RECEIVE ANY INJURIES. VISUAL METEOROLOGICAL CONDITIONS (VMC) EXISTED AT THIS TIME.

THIS WAS THE MAIDEN FLIGHT FOR THIS EXPERIMENTAL AIRCRAFT. THE AIRCRAFT TOOK OFF FROM RUNWAY 29 AND CLIMBED TO APPROXIMATELY 250 FEET WHEN THE ENGINE LOSS TOTAL POWER.

THE PILOT ATTEMPTED TO RESTART THE ENGINE BUT FAILED. HE CONTINUED TO FLY STRAIGHT AND LANDED INTO A CORN FIELD. THE AIRCRAFT ENDED UPSIDE DOWN, AND THE LANDING GEAR, ENGINE COWLING AND PROPELLER RECEIVED MINOR DAMAGE.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
