## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

ON 6/25/15 AT APPROXIMATELY 0617L, THE PIC OF A CESSNA 172, AIRCRAFT N9250V, REPORTED TO ATC THAT ANOTHER AIRCRAFT HAD BEEN CHASING HIM. THE "CHASE" AIRCRAFT WAS LATER IDENTIFIED BY ATC AS A T-53 (SR-20) AIRCRAFT FROM THE USAF ACADEMY, CALLSIGN SHRIKE 42. POST RADAR DATA ANALYSIS CONFIRMED THAT SHRIKE 42 HAD FOLLOWED N9250V FOR APPROXIMATELY 4 MINS. THE INVESTIGATION REVEALED THAT THE PILOT'S INTENT (SHRIKE 42) WAS TO KEEP VISUAL CONTACT WITH N9250V UNTIL HE HAD RELAYED FLIGHT DECONFLICTION INFORMATION TO OTHER USAF ACADEMY TRAINER AIRCRAFT IN THE AREA. DURING THIS EVENT, WHILE IN A TRAIL (6 O' CLOCK) POSITION, STRIKE 42 CAME AS CLOSE AS .08 NM (CLOSE TO 500FT) FROM N9250V, ACCORDING TO RADAR DATA. THE INCIDENT CONCLUDED AFTER N9250V DEPARTED THE TRAINING AREAS.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
