## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

THE AIRCRAFT WAS IN A LOW HOVER POLINATING A RICE FIELD. IT WAS APPROXIMATELY 15 INCHES ABOVE THE RICE PLANTS. THE AIRCRAFT ENTERED A NOSE DOWN ATTITUDE CAUSING THE AIRCRAFT TO DESCEND INTO THE RICE FIELD. THE SUBSEQUENT IMPACT WITH THE GROUND BROKE UP THE HELICOPTER.

THERE WERE NO INJURIES

THERE WAS NO POST CRASH FIRE.

## The NTSB's investigation of this event (1)

From the NTSB's public API. Aircraft are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported serial number, make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

- [NTSB GAA15CA154](https://openairdocs.org/ntsb/GAA15CA154), Jun 25, 2015: Robinson Helicopter R22 Beta (N842SH), Eagle Lake, TX, substantial damage. Probable cause: The pilot's failure to secure the iPad during flight, resulting in an inadvertent cyclic input, and collision with terrain.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
